Morgans second hatrick of the season sees the double over Didcot

Witney flew out of the starting blocks against local rivals Didcot. Looking to show their authority after a somewhat under whelming away win at Chesham last week the Witney players were up for the game as after only 6 minutes Ryan Harris went over with Puddle adding the extras 7-0  A further 6 minutes and the score climbed to 12-0 as Rhys Morgan went over out wide conversion missed.

On the 17th Minute Lock matt Webb scored as the score board went up to 17-0 Witney now very dominant in the forwards had Didcot pressed firmly in their own half. On 25 minutes centre Matt Clarke ran straight down the middle to score under the post , puddle adding the extras 24-0 and the bonus point secured .Didcot to their credit plugged away and no further scores in the first half.

With the wind at their backs the home crowd looked forward to a similar second half however Didcot seem to have found some resolve and it wasn’t until the 63rd minute that the score board started to tick over again as Rhys Morgan scored and Puddle converted 31-0. Numerous replacement changes throughout the second half kept the teams fresh and Rhys Morgan completed his Hatrick on the 73 minute and once again Puddle adding the extra 38-0  final score.

Next weekend see the boys travel to High Wycombe for a League and RFU intermediate cup double header game Winner takes all Kick off 2pm.
